IIIT-Delhi announced the launch of its new Master of Technology in Research program. This 2-year program is intended to provide pre-doctoral training for students interested in solving complex research problems in engineering and computer science that are relevant to society and industry. Students who have a B.E./B.Tech. A degree in CSE/IT/ECE/EE or M.Sc. in Mathematics/Statistics with a good GATE score can use for the course. The online application began on March 20 and will close on April 23 at 5 p.m. Students can visit the IIIT-Delhi site for more information about the program, eligibility and application process.
A research assistantship will be available at Rs. 21000/- monthly. The candidate will be eligible to apply for the M.Tech. (Research) Assistantship. GATE scores above the qualifying marks announced in GATE each year (i.e. 2021/2022/2023) will be valid. Assistantship for M.Tech. (Research) Students will be paid directly by AICTE-Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), at the rate of Rs. 12400/- per Month according to the approval of MHRD (Govt. India for a maximum period of 24 months starting at the beginning of classes at IIIT–Delhi. The Institute will support the students in obtaining the assistantship. IIITD will also provide Rs. 8600/- per Month for a max of 24 months starting from the date that classes were created at IIIT-Delhi.
The programme has a total of 10 spots. The application fee for the programme is Rs 500. Candidates who meet the essential eligibility criteria will receive invitations to take the PGCAT IIITD exam. After the interview, candidates will be interviewed. The offline selection process will take place on April 30. Candidates must report to IIIT Delhi by 8.30 a.m.

“Students will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of a fundamental topic in cutting-edge computing technology by the end of this program. They will be able to design, develop and evaluate novel systems to meet the needs of society and industry. They can use existing algorithms, models, techniques, and methods to solve research problems efficiently. Students will develop their technical skills and learn professionalism and ethics. “They will be capable of communicating effectively with a broad range of audiences and working effectively individually as well as in a group,” stated Dr Bapi Chatterjee, Assistant Professor (CSE).
